How to Live in Green Grass?

Living in Green Grass is quite simple some days and extremely difficult others.

Simply put it is:

  1. Acknowledging the struggles in life. There are days when it is just plain bad, stressful or not so great.
  2. Seeing that life is full of God’s blessings. Focusing on those blessings gets me through tough times.
  3. Being content with what you have. It is not always about who has more or wanting something bigger or better. Be content with what you have now. Yes, you can aim for something bigger and set some goals. That doesn’t mean you are so absorbed with what you want that you forget that what you have here is wonderful.
  4. Celebrating each day to the fullest. I challenge myself to find something good that happened each and every day. Sometimes that means I drank my tea before it became cold or savored a hug from one of my children. Other times it can be something larger, like staying in budget for the month or a new item that we’ve saved up for.

There are weeds that need to be pulled and brown spots that have to be ignored but overall the grass is green enough here.

There is good in each and every day. If you look for it, you will find it.

I like this- acknowledge the dirt and the weeds- don’t pretend it’s all green!

And yet- there is SO much green!
God, give us eyes to see!!!

There is so much green Emily. And I’ve found that when I focus on the green, suddenly the weeds seem to fade. They are still there, but they aren’t overwhelming. Thanks for stopping by!
